A day at a Disney theme park is a magical experience, but with so much to do, it’s easy to lose that vacation feeling. So when your feet are screaming in protest or your toddler is ready for a nap (or you are), take a T.O. and try one of the following ways to get some rest during your Disney day.
1. Ride the Railway
The Walt Disney World Railroad is a quick way to get from Main Street to Fantasyland to make it for that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FastPass. But it’s also a great way to take a break during the day. Kick back, relax, and let the conductor lead you on a tour around the Magic Kingdom. The ride is filled with interesting scenery between stations, making the 20 minute round trip journey easy on the eyes and feet!
2. Grab a bite
Everybody needs to stop for fuel throughout the day, but rather than eating something on the go while you wait for the parade why not try a dining reservation? Scheduling a late lunch can help you avoid peak heat and traffic. Character dining provides an air-conditioned break while you meet fan favourites.
3. Catch a show
Most lands within the Magic Kingdom have a show-style attraction – the Hall of Presidents, Philharmagic, and Country Bear Jamboree, just to name a few. These shows range in times from approximately 10-25 minutes, the perfect time for a quick break. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
4. Take a trip to Tom Sawyer Island
Escape the crowds on and venture out to Tom Sawyer Island. Here you can slow down and explore at a more leisurely pace.
5. Head back to your resort
You may be in the most magical place on Earth, and while everyone wants to make the most of that, you don’t want to spend your day tired and cranky. Why not head back to your resort for a midday swim? Taking a quick dip will keep you cool during the hottest part of the day, and you will be even more refreshed for the rest of the day. Too tired to swim? Head back to your room for a nap, kids and grownups will both appreciate the break.
